A'ella loves to curl up with you!

We had heard that someone was interested in A'ella, hopefully they have received the application. She will need a home that have active participants. She will need a lot of exercise to burn that puppy energy. A'ella would be an amazing puppy for children too. My son has special needs and she absolutely loves him. When I put him in his chair this morning for school, she started crying; knowing that he would be leaving. She tries to jump up on his medical bed so that she can curl up with him. She is a little shadow right now, if she is sleeping next to you and you get up, when you turn around she'll be right there. She had the personality of a big dog in a little dogs body right now. All of her foster brothers right now are much bigger than she is and she's not afraid of any of them! She is precious - we love her and want her to find the perfect family!

Possible Adoption for Poe!

Poe has received an approved application and could be in his fur'ever home as soon as next week! Although we will miss him, we are so excited for him too. The little puppy girl will especially miss him, I will miss him too because he really helped me with her. His fur is the softest and I really like his smell, I'll miss that too. But, as long as he is going to a worthy home, because this gentlemen definitely deserves to be happy for the rest of his days and we know he will bring great joy to the home that will be adopting him. It is not written in stone yet though. We will keep you updated.

Perfect Poe

Enjoys 'herding' his toys

We quickly learned Poe is an ole'soul, he is very sweet and loving. He has already learned how to 'sit' for a treat and he is completely potty-trained. When we first arrived Poe was very nervous, but he has acclimated well. He gets along with other dogs and while he is curious about our cat Smokie, he respects his space. Poe is very easy going, laid back, and not high maintenance or high energy. He loves to lounge around! Prepared for Poe

Formerly known as "Tripp" with the Kentucky based Bowling-Green Shelter. We're hoping this young man will adjust to home living and enjoy the benefits of life in Maryland. What better way then with a great state represented name. Poe, not only in reference to Edger Allen Poe, but to the Baltimore Raven's Mascot (Superbowl Champions!!). 

Poe is Collie Shepherd mix - I'm looking forward to meeting him and hope to train him as a semi-serviceable companion.

We are welcoming Poe into our home this Sunday 4/7/13. We will keep you updated with his progress.

Loving This Guy!

Taken after his first bath...

A big puppy with a big heart! I don't think Ripken knows just how big he really is. We believe Rip is a mix including Burmese Mountain Dog and a Retriever or Lab. This young man is still in the process of learning his manners, but is quickly learning. In just a few days he already knows how to 'sit' for a treat. Ready for Ripken

Formerly known as "Bullwinkle" from the Kentucky based Bowling-Green Shelter. Ripken has pretty high expectations given his name. This young gentlemen is given a better chance for a secured adoption when we can bring him into our home and learn appropriate behaviors and expectations.  We are definitely looking forward to meeting him this Sunday as well.

Picture Perfect Princess!!

This little one has a lot of personality; as sassy as she can be, she is even more sweet! She loves to curl up next to you during her nap-times. She is all puppy too - but is easily redirected toward appropriate items to bite and play with. She is very smart, she already knows how to sit for her treat! Even though she is so smart, she is still a baby and isn't housebroken (yet). She loves to run and play outside - she loves playing soccer!
